Your Dog Loves Home Cooking too!

Why should dog-owners make their own dog food at home rather than buying store-brand dog food?

If you take a look at the list of ingredients on prepackaged dog food in your pet store or on your grocer shelves, chances are extremely high that you will find items listed that you cannot even pronounce -- items that are chemical related and are virtually unidentifiable to the layperson.

On further inspection you will notice that the ingredient list generally begins with 1, 2, or possibly even 3 vegetable based ingredients and then maybe some meat products or byproducts.

Byproducts themselves generally mean ingredients that are unfit for human consumption. Unfit? If humans can’t eat them then why would you feed it to your beloved dog?

Your dog is a carnivore -- a meat eater. Examination of his teeth attests to this fact.

Dogs love meat, and the best way to make sure your dog gets enough proper protein and his instinctive meat eating cravings are satisfied is to feed him the real thing, prepared by you in your home.

Wholesome chicken, beef, and some fish provide ample amounts of protein necessary to keep your dog healthy.

Adding small amounts of dark green vegetables and brown rice is also favorable and very beneficial.

Although more time-consuming and costly, preparing your dog’s meals your self at home assures both him and you he’s getting the highest of nutrition without the chemical byproducts that are unnecessary and insufficient for optimal health.
